Read the purpose of the statement

CPSC's guide describes ASTM D 4236 in the context of evaluating art materials for chronic health hazards and appropriate precautionary labeling. A conformance statement is not a blanket assertion that every exposure or use is harmless. A product may have specific cautions or intended-use limits that still matter.

Do not collapse three fields

A maker's non-toxic wording, the current physical conformance statement and an ACMI named-line entry are related evidence questions, but they are not identical. We keep them separately attributed. For the selected products, exact current received labels and line-to-retailSKU/formula linkage remain pending.

The maker restriction still applies

The 551310 page excludes body and face painting even while describing a non-toxic formula. A shopper cannot use a general standards phrase to remove that specific restriction. Nor does the phrase establish edible paint,food-contact use or personal allergy approval.

A procurement example

If a school supply requirement names a specific conformance statement or certification, retain the actual current product label and exact record requested. Do not satisfy the requirement with a generic brand badge or another product's certificate. Ask the purchaser or maker to resolve a missing document rather than invent a compliance conclusion.

Keep this site’s role limited

The tools display source fields and purchase arithmetic. They do not conduct a toxicological review, issue legal certification or approve a child. No home chemical test or mixture is suggested. Independent child-art,chemical-label,legal-scope and content review remains pending.

A school paperwork question

A purchaser may request the current physical conformance statement or an exact document rather than a general safety slogan. In that situation, provide the actual requested record if available and identify any missing link. Do not manufacture an approval sheet from the site?s source summary. The named AP line and CPSC guide can help frame a question, but neither makes this site the certifying organization or replaces a maker?s current product-specific evidence.

This shopping reference does not replace the exact product label or qualified individual advice. Current received labels and independent child-art/chemical-label/content/commerce review remain pending.
